Amikejo is looking for young musical talent in the Meuse–Rhine Euregion!
‘In December, Amikejo is giving a concert in Maastricht and a concert in Echt”
Limburgian Youth Symphony Orchestra Amikejo is looking for young musicians for concerts on December the 8th and 15th, 2019.
Amikejo is a breeding ground for young musical talent. Education is a central concept through all ranks. Amikejo, which will celebrate her 10-year anniversary next year, is the only youth symphony orchestra in the province of Limburg.
With around fifty musicians the music of – among others – Beethoven, Mozart, Raff and Anderson will be performed on stage. The Highlight will be the Symphony N.8 by Schubert. Furthermore, winners of the “Prinses Christina Concours” will participate in this project as soloists: cellist Lian Schell (DE) and clarinetist Jules Baeten (BE).
These concerts will be led by the young conductor Samuel Agustín Aguirre Guerra. He received the “WMC Talent Award” In July 2017. Since 2018 Samuel has been an oboist with the National Youth Symphony orchestra of Colombia.

The concerts will be performed on December 8th in the St.- Jans-church in Maastricht, and December 15th in the “Theater Royal” in Echt. The rehearsals will take place in Maastricht, in the period starting September 2019 until December 2019.
The level of play is comparable to at least the level of HAFA C (wind section/percussion), or Grade C (strings). The average age is between 13 and 23 years old.
