Meet our new board member!

Beate Matvejeva has joined the board of LJSO to support the orchestra's PR & Marketing activities.

She is a Latvian flutist known for her musicality and love for diverse repertoire.

From a young age, music has been a very important part of her life and communicating her music to the public is her passion.

She graduated Cum Laude from the Maastricht Conservatory and regularly performs in #Europe as a soloist and chamber musician.

In addition to music, Beate is also interested in marketing and has been part of the communications team at AEC -Association Européenne des Conservatoires in Brussels since January 2024.

.Meet our artistic manager!

Stijn Waterval has joined the LJSO as artistic manager of the orchestra and thus takes on the artistic responsibility.

He is a programmer for Classical & Opera at PLT Theaters Heerlen, Kerkrade and Sittard and festivals such as JekerKlassiek and Klankstad Klassiek. In addition, Stijn is a conductor and trumpet player. Experience with both the professional field and with youth is not unknown to him. With a great passion for classical music in particular, he will broaden the artistic lines for the orchestra and shape our projects.

Meet our new board member!

Richard Lamers has joined the board of LJSO to support the artistic activities of the orchestra.

He is a Dutch clarinet teacher in the Maastricht region. From a young age Richard started in a local harmony where the musical journey began.

He graduated from the Maastricht Conservatory and is often seen in various orchestras as a substitute on clarinet and E-flat clarinet.

Besides music, Richard enjoys hobbies such as motorcycling and golf.
