On October 5, an inspiring violin masterclass took place in Maastricht under the direction of Mathieu van Bellen, concertmaster of the Phion Orchestra and teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. This special day brought together a group of talented young violinists from conservatories, young talent classes and private institutions. The youngest participants were only 10 and 11 years old.

The participants excelled with their exceptional level and presented an impressive program, including:

• Bach - Violin Concerto in A minor
• W.A. Mozart - Violin Concerto No. 5, first movement
• Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto, first movement
• Kreisler - Praeludium and Allegro
• Seitz - Student Concerto No. 4, Op. 15
• De Bériot - Scène de Ballet

Thanks to the support of the VSB Fund and the Municipality of Maastricht, this masterclass was free for all participants. Furthermore, the audience was very welcome to come and listen and enjoy the inspiring performances.
