On 11 April, the Limburgs Jeugd Symfonie Orkest presented its Spring Concert at Theater Kerkrade – an evening filled with intensity, musical depth, and collaboration.
Under the direction of conductor Federico Santi, the orchestra performed a compelling programme featuring works by Tchaikovsky and Bruch. Violin soloist Yanis Griso delivered a captivating performance in Bruch’s Violin Concerto, creating an expressive and memorable musical highlight.

The programme also included the energetic Polonaise from Eugene Onegin, Bruch’s Violin Concerto, and Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony No. 5.
The collaboration with Federico Santi was experienced by both musicians and audience as deeply inspiring. As he expressed:
“In the LJSO I see very young musicians who challenge themselves, who want to grow, learn, and express something true through music. Their dedication to art makes them my heroes today. In Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, this becomes a journey through destiny, from doubt to courage, from melancholy to light, where struggle finds its voice and is transformed into hope.”

Concertmaster Elena Vittoria Vincifori Troili also reflected on the collaboration:
“Working with Maestro Federico Santi and LJSO on Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony is for me a privilege. The repertoire is a great challenge to create a powerful connection between each musician, and its absolute beauty repays all efforts. I look forward to the 11th of April, as I believe we will show our work and passion and extend this connection to the audience, while enjoying every bit of this extraordinary music!”
We would like to thank our musicians for their dedication and commitment, and our soloist and conductor for their inspiring collaboration on stage. Our gratitude also goes to our partners, sponsors, funds, and subsidy providers, the Club100 members, and everyone working behind the scenes who made this project possible.
And of course, we thank our audience for their presence, engagement, and warm support.
With this concert, we look back on a highly successful Spring Project full of musical highlights and connection.
